Reverend Herbert Wilson, Jr.
Pastor
Reverend Herbert Wilson came to First Baptist church 15 years ago to share his love of God to a family-oriented community in Howell. His motto, “My ministry is to love God and love People.” In his early calling, Reverend, along with his wife Judy, served as missionaries in South and Central America over a 10 year period. They raised 2 children overseas. Upon return in the United States the family lived in Arizona where they began missionary life in the Navajo, Hopi and Yapapi Apache Indian Reservations for several years. In 1985, Reverend placed down family roots in Livingston County with his growing family by welcoming 2 more children. He spent 10 years as Executive Director for ‘Youth of Christ’. He also served as an Interim Pastor with American Baptist Churches (ABC of MI) for several years before finally calling home at First Baptist Church in Howell, MI.
